ถึงคราวเคราะห์ร้ายของนายโทนี่ เพอร์รี่ มือกีตาร์วงโพสต์ฮาร์ดคอร์ขวัญใจวัยรุ่นจากแคลิฟอร์เนีย Pierce the Veil ครับ เขาต้องพลาดการออกทัวร์ร่วมกับวงในช่วงเริ่มต้นของเทศกาลดนตรี Warped Tour ในสหรัฐอเมริกาฤดูร้อนนี้ไปอย่างน่าเสียดายเนื่องจากมีอาการบาดเจ็บจากการเล่นจักรยานเมาเท่นไบค์
จากคำบอกเล่าของวิค ฟวนเทส ฟรอนต์แมนของวง อาการบาดเจ็บของเพอร์รี่เรียกว่ามากเอาการครับเพราะมีซี่โครงหักถึงสามท่อน, หัวไหล่ฉีก, ปอดยุบ และมีกระดูกหักด้สน และก็ยังไม่มีรายละเอียดจากทางแพทย์เปิดเผยออกมาแต่อย่างใดว่าเขาจะกลับมาร่วมทัวร์กับวงใน Warped Tour ครั้งนี้ได้เมื่อไหร่ หรือจะทันหรือไม่
วิค ฟวนเทส ออกแถลงการณ์เกี่ยวกับเรื่องนี้เอาไว้ว่า “ผมเสียใจที่จะต้องแจ้งข่าวร้ายกับพวกคุณ มือกีตาร์ของเรา โทนี่ เพอร์รี่ เพิ่งเข้าโรงพยาบาลไปเนื่องจากอุบัติเหตุจากการขี่เมาเท่นไบค์ของเขาเองเมื่อสัปดาห์ก่อน เขามีซี่โครงหัก 3 ท่อน, หัวไหล่ฉีกขาด, ปอดยุบและก็มีกระดูกหักด้วย ซึ่งก็ต้องเข้ารับการผ่าตัดเพื่อซ่อมแซมโดยเร่งด่วน โชคดีที่การผ่าตัดของเขาเป็นไปได้ด้วยดี และเขาก็น่าจะหายกลับมาสมบูรณ์ได้ด้วย เขาถูกปล่อยตัวออกมาจากโรงพยาบาลแล้วตั้งแต่เมื่อวานนี้ แต่จากคำสั่งของแพทย์ เขาก็จะไม่สามารถมาร่วมทัวร์กับเราได้ในช่วงเริ่มต้นของ Warped Tour จนกว่าสุขภาพของเขาจะดีพอที่จะเล่น แต่เราจะยังคงออกทัวร์ต่อไปตามที่วางแผนไว้ และเราหวังว่าจะได้เห็นโทนี่กลับมาบนเวทีร่วมกับเราในเร็ว ๆ นี้เช่นกัน การสนับสนุนของพวกคุณน่าซาบซึ้งใจเป็นอย่างมาก อย่าลืมส่งกำลังใจไปหาโทนี่กันด้วยในระหว่างที่เขากำลังพักฟื้น! ของคุณครับ แล้วพบกันที่ Warped!”
Our guitar player @tonyperry was recently hospitalized for an incident while riding his mountain bike last weekend. He sustained 3 broken ribs, a torn shoulder, collapsed lung and a broken sternum, for which he needed immediate surgery to repair. Fortunately, his surgery went very well, and he is expected to make a full recovery. He was released from the hospital yesterday, but due to doctors orders, he will not be joining us for the beginning of Warped Tour until he is healthy enough to play. We will still be carrying on with the tour as planned, and we hope to see Tony back on stage with us very soon.
